Yes. The Song-Beverly Act covers all components included under the manufacturer warranty, including the Sapphire's tri-motor drivetrain, carbon-ceramic brakes, and upgraded battery architecture. If these performance-specific components fail and Lucid cannot repair them, you are entitled to the same lemon law remedies as any other covered vehicle.

The refund is based on the total purchase price including taxes, fees, and any aftermarket items installed by the dealer. A mileage offset is subtracted based on the miles driven before the first repair attempt for the defect. For a vehicle at the Sapphire's price point, this makes prompt reporting of defects especially important.

Lucid cannot deny a valid warranty claim simply because the vehicle was used for its intended purpose. The Sapphire is marketed as a high-performance vehicle, and defects that arise during normal high-performance use are still covered under warranty and the Song-Beverly Act.

If a comparable replacement is unavailable, the Song-Beverly Act entitles you to a full refund rather than a replacement. Lucid must reimburse the purchase price, less a reasonable mileage offset, along with collateral charges such as sales tax and registration fees.
