Polestar Polestar 2 BST Lemon Law

Yes. All factory-installed components and performance upgrades on the Polestar 2 BST are covered by the manufacturer's warranty and therefore fall under the Song-Beverly Act. If any of these components are defective and cannot be repaired, you have the right to pursue a Lemon Law claim.

The refund is based on the actual purchase price you paid, including any premium associated with the limited-edition status. Under Song-Beverly, the manufacturer must refund the full price including taxes, fees, and finance charges, minus only a mileage offset. The vehicle's rarity does not reduce your entitled refund.

Interior trim defects can support a Lemon Law claim if they substantially impair the value of the vehicle. Given the Polestar 2 BST's premium pricing and the expectation of high-quality materials, widespread delamination or discoloration of factory-installed trim could be argued as a substantial impairment of value under Song-Beverly.

The Song-Beverly Act does not require that all repair attempts relate to a single defect. Multiple unrelated defects can be aggregated to demonstrate that the vehicle is substantially impaired. If the cumulative time out of service exceeds 30 days or the total number of repair visits is excessive, you may have a strong Lemon Law case.
